Unique Camping Experiences
the highlights from this week’s podcast episode. So gather around, pull up a comfy chair, and let’s dive into an RV adventure you won’t forget.
If you’ve been following us on the RV Life Podcast, you know that we’ve been exploring this great country full time for over two and a half years. During this time, we’ve found ourselves in some remarkable and sometimes unusual situations. From overnighting at a loofah farm in Tennessee (yes, those bath sponges grow on vines!) to witnessing the birth of a longhorn calf, we’ve been privy to some fantastic sights. We thought it would be a treat to share not only our experiences but also insights into the unique experiences you too can have.
So, how many of you have considered or are planning an RV vacation this year?
According to a fascinating piece of information from Wakefield Research, 61% of Americans intend to hit the open road in an RV in 2023 – a rise of 13% from last year. That’s six out of ten Americans! The average American spends around 7.4 nights camping each year, and almost 15 million households went camping or RVing last year. Those are some truly staggering numbers!
We're curious about your experiences.?
Are you full-timers like us, or do you camp part-time? Perhaps you’re looking to start RVing for the first time in 2023? We’d love to hear from you on our social media pages on Instagram or Facebook at RV Life Podcast.
On our show, we also hosted Carrie Price from Harvest Hosts who shared about the unique camping experiences they offer. Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome have provided us with some of our most memorable camping experiences, such as camping at the end of an airport runway and watching planes land, spending time with longhorn cattle, and even visiting a llama farm!
Just to clarify,Long horn cattle do indeed have long, sharp horns that measure about seven to eight feet long,
and they are surprisingly friendly. We spent time on the field with them and felt quite accepted, almost like being part of their herd.
Our RV journey has taken us to some unexpected places and provided us with lifelong friendships. From Colorado to Las Vegas and many more destinations, we’ve formed a network of friends who share our passion for RVing. If you’re on the fence about RVing, we encourage you to take the plunge and create your own unique camping experiences. It’s a lifestyle choice we’ve never regretted and one we look forward to sharing with you further!
